AAAaaaalllrite. Its been days since I've wrote again. Partly cos I got lots to do and secondly cos my PC had problems and everytime i try access google or any other sites and sub sites by google I will timeout in the process. Yeah yeh... I know what you're thinking... its spywares and viruses... which I have too say you're correct. Its been a while since I've formated my PC I guess those bugs from daily visits to pornsites have accumulated. This went on until two days ago when I decided I could not take it anymore and its either I re-formated my PC or download a solution. I opted for the latter. So I downloaded the latest AvG (not to be mistaken with Aliens vs Greg) anti-virus to scan thru my PC and damage control the spywares and viruses until when one day when the planets aligned and the stars are shining brightly that I decided to re-format my PC.
Anyways, many things has happened, will happen and did not happened in my short cyber-tical. Get it...? Cyber-tical... Sabbatical ...? yes? no? OKAY OKAY... my absence has left me with a short indulgence for lame jokes. Either that or someone has taken over my blog and this writing it is actually not me. Hahaha. Okay to get the ball rolling, I've already terminated my job with my company! All heaven rejoice! Joy to the World! The world is at peace once again! Well.... mine at least. Well, to make long story short, I decided it was enuff so I decided to show it practically. Thats pretty much when I wrote my resignation and waved 'adios amigo' to my old company. Strangely enough today I woke up with a strange dream I had last night. In my dream, my company... well... (ex-company now! hahahahahahahaha -insert other kind of evil laugh) was caught being a fraud and closed down! Then on the day it was closing down I went over and laugh out loud at them! Gawd! It was the best 'weird' dream I ever had in a long long time! I remember waking up looking at the wall remembering what my dream was with a smirk on my face... a very evil smirk heheheheee.
Anyways, back to topic, yeh I wrote, tendered, and left. That was last Friday. The good news is after that, interviews and offers flowed in and one left me with a decision to make :P One of my old company called me back again wanting to hire me back. Ok, a little background on this company and what happened. This was about a year ago. Back then, I was the in-house designer for the company. The company receives a deal with the government to implement a new classroom technology to the local schools in Malaysia as a way to improved both teacher and student's experience in schools. The idea was pretty revolutionary when I think now. Without letting much spoilers out, the tech basically helps improves teacher's time in teaching and marking student works. It also cuts down time to compile reports on students and at the same time gives almost instant statistic results of every student's performance. This is where you will be saying.. ''Hey... I've heard of this tech before....'' Yes! Its almost the same technology used by big player companies to keep a tab on their resources as well as their employee performance. Well, they don't really look alike but the similarities are pretty much close in that point.
Back to my old company, ok I have to correct my previous statement when I said the company was 'given' the project. Lets just say they pursued the project and which they got it! It was approved and promised funds by government by the millions for it all under our good minister Najib! Then the company spent thousands and maybe a million or two? to prepare mass production to get things done and ready for the implementation. Then it came, a new minister was appointed as the head of Education, which was Hishammudin. As far as I know, he's 'gang' and Najib's 'gang' are not in good terms and just to spite Najib, ol' Hisha decided to fucked with Najib's legacy or projects. Which in returned fucked my old company, which in return fucked me and my colleagues. A project that was supposed to be finished a year ago got prolonged till now. and due to the tons of money already spent to the commitment of the project, my old company fell into a financial downturn, which ended up having need to retrench us all. Yup... thats our so great FUCKING government! Honestly, I felt they deserved it when the BN party sucked so bad this time round in the elections. Alot of people I'm sure have experienced this with me. People are already fed up. We had enough of the lies, deceit and corruption. Its time to throw out the old hat and get a new one. This is how the rakyat (people) of Malaysia say '' FUCK OFF! ''.
Anyway, back to my dilemma, I've been called and asked if I wanted to return again (because now after the elections, I guess the project finally sees the greenlight). I was told that my old boss wanted to get old staff back cos we would know what to do and what is needed to be done. This was to avoid training new staffs. Partly the reason was also that they were given a time of 5 months time for this project. I was offered to return to the company for a huge pay increase. My dilemma is, to go for MONEY or CAREER... sigh. It's also weighted cos' my old boss was sort of an asshole... (in a good way i think.. if there was such a thing). He's a bit of a china-man style company boss dude. YES... I can hear some of you going 'oooooohhhhhhh.... that kind... nowonder...' Plus what will happen after 5 months? Anyways I am close to deciding to go for career. Friends have told me in the long run, its a better choice. As opposed to needing fast cash :P OH woes is meeeeeee...!!
Ok I think this is pretty much enough for now this early in the morning. I need to rest my brain and enjoy the sunshine and count my 'brush strokes'. Life's a bitch and then you Die.
